Lil Durk Found Not Guilty On All Charges In Murder-For-Hire Case

A federal jury has acquitted Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk (Durk Banks) on all five counts in his murder-for-hire trial. After three days of deliberations, jurors found him not guilty of conspiracy to commit stalking, stalking using a dangerous weapon, stalking resulting in death, conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and use of interstate commerce facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death. He had faced a possible life sentence.
The case stemmed from an August 2022 shooting near the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. Prosecutors alleged Durk ordered a hit on rival rapper Quando Rondo (Tyquian Bowman) in retaliation for the 2020 death of King Von. The intended target survived; his cousin Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson was killed. Durk’s defense argued he had no involvement and that cooperating witnesses were unreliable. Co-defendants Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey were acquitted of the murder-for-hire counts but convicted on stalking-related charges.Durk remains in custody.
A separate federal racketeering trial is scheduled to begin October 5, 2026.
